You love myself
(One day...I'll finish this...but for now Let me explain where I wanted this to go. This was intended to be a glorification of self. All of the ideas of Pride where supposed to be laid bare here within these words. Shield. Strong. Impervious to any opinions other than those which are self produced. I wanted this piece to display an over abundance of self worth. Confident. Assured of greatness, but not pompous to the point you had to hate him/her. I wanted to create a character you were willing to hate. In this day and age we are affirmation seekers, unsure of value, yet some of us are extremely quick with attempts to break down the confidences of others. We don't agree when they say they're beautiful. We tell them to get over themselves. But when someone is at their lowest point, cry, upset, willing to hurt themselves, we do our best to tell assure them of their attractiveness. Why? Because you are Self Absorbed Deity's. This is Music About Narcissism. You can't admit it because you're socially conditioned not to. But SOME of you love nothing but yourselves & you despise the enjoyment of others. You smile when others are enjoying themselves, but you don't mean it. You're fake. Plastic. You're sociopaths. It's kinda beautiful. If it wasn't for the fact that you needed appropriate emotional responses to get by in the day to day world you'd be out eating people. But this is an ode to you. To those whom love themselves. To those who don't care what others think. This is a song for those whom give no fuck. There will only be pride in these words. When it's written, I hope you'll enjoy it.)
